The American Craftsman
movement of the early twentieth century was based on the philosophy of
creating beautiful furniture that is solidly made and simply, exquisitely
designed. This philosophy is an inherent part of Vermont Furniture Designs’
Mission Collection. Original Mission furniture was inspired by the Craftsman
movement, influenced by Stickley and built in the traditional Art and
Crafts style. Each piece of our collection is inspired by this history,
and has a usefulness in today’s very modern way of life.
